About Us
Guiding men back to themselves
Why the hunt?
Hunting demands the very things trauma erodes: patience, presence, discipline, and trust. There are no shortcuts in the field, no way to fake the work. A man has to slow down, pay attention, and rely on the person beside him.
In that quiet, the armor comes off. Social barriers dissolve. And in the reverence of taking only what you need, and honoring it, men rediscover their own capacity for care. That's where healing begins.
Discipline
The field rewards the man who does the small things right, again and again.
Patience
Healing, like the hunt, cannot be rushed. We move at the pace of trust.
Reverence
Respect for the land, the animal, and the life in front of you.
Accountability
To yourself, to your mentor, and to everyone walking beside you.
Stewardship
We leave the land better than we found it, and teach everyone who walks with us to do the same.

Our Story
Founded around a fire
Hunt to Heal began the way most good things do, with a conversation that ran past dark. A few veterans and mentors realized that the peace they'd found in the backcountry was exactly what the veterans and kids in their communities were starving for.
So they started taking them along. What they watched happen in the field, the walls coming down, the accountability, the brotherhood, became a mission. Today that mission is Hunt to Heal.
Every hunt begins with two people walking the same path.
