Changing lives through the hunt

Guided outdoor experiences for veterans, first responders, and kids facing hard odds. In the field, the weight lifts.

Our Mission

Hunt to Heal gives back to the veterans and first responders who carried the weight for the rest of us, and gets chronically ill, disabled, and low-income kids into the field. The hunt is a hard teacher, and a fair one. Weather, terrain, fatigue, and let-downs. Do everything right and you can still come home empty. You reset and keep after it. You only truly fail if you quit.

“In the field, social barriers dissolve. In nature, healing begins.”

Who We Walk With

Different roads,
same fire

We meet people where they are, and the land does not ask where they came from.

01

Combat veterans

A central focus of our mission. Those carrying the weight of service, searching for purpose, relief, and brotherhood. The quiet of the hunt gives it back.

02

Wounded in action

Those wounded in combat zones, rebuilding confidence, purpose, and physical strength on their own terms.

03

First responders

Firefighters, medics, and officers who carry what they have seen. The field offers quiet, brotherhood, and room to set it down.

04

Resilient kids

Chronically ill, disabled, or low-income kids who rarely get a shot at the outdoors. We get them in the field, mentor them, and show them that circumstance does not decide what they can navigate.

Rooted in Conservation

We protect what heals us

Healing happens in wild places, so we take care of them. Every experience is grounded in an ethic of stewardship: respect for the animal, the habitat, and the men who will come after.

We teach conservation as a way of life, because anyone who learns to protect the land learns something about protecting themselves.

  • Fair chase, always

We hunt ethically and within the law, honoring the animal and taking only what is needed.

  • Stewards of the land

Participants learn to care for the habitats that make healing possible, and leave them better than we found them.

  • Giving back

We teach every participant to leave the land better than they found it, so it keeps healing the men who come after them.
